Kangana Ranaut starrer Emergency get into trouble yet again; Chandigarh Court issues notice against the film

Actor Kangana Ranaut starrer Emergency has been facing several problems with its release. The movie that was supposed to be released on September 6 has been postponed due to the censor board. They are yet to clear their certificate but other than that, Emergency is also facing problems from the Sikh community. On that note, Kangana Ranaut starrer finds another legal problem after a district court issued a notice against Emergency.

According to a report by PTI, Advocate Ravinder Singh Bassi, former president of the District Bar Association, filed an application claiming that Kangana attempted to tarnish the image of Sikhs in her film. Moreover, the film allegedly portrays an inaccurate image of Sikhs and includes several false allegations against the community. The advocate is seeking to register a case against Ms Ranaut.

Earlier, Emergency received criticism from Shiromani Akali Dal for misinterpreting the facts and history.

Kangana Ranaut sold her Mumbai bungalow for the movie

As Emergency is facing problems, the Manikarnika actor was forced to sell her Pali Hill house after its release date got postponed. Reportedly, her house in Bandra has been sold for Rs 32 crores. She told News 18, “I had staked my personal property on this film, which was supposed to come in theatres. Now it is not releasing, so the property is there, to be sold off in difficult times.”
